The Sundarban is a largest mangrove forest in the world. The name Sundarban can be literally translated as “beautiful jungle” or “beautiful forest” in the Bengali language Sundar mean “beautiful” and ban means “forest” or “jungle”. It is located 62% of total forest Khulna Bangladesh and remaining 42% forest located in India. World famous Royal Bengal Tiger’s homeland is Sundarban and around 400 tigers live in Sundarban with around 30,000 beautiful spotted deer. There are over 120 different species of fish & not less than 270 varieties of birds are found. More than 50 species of reptiles have found in Sundarban. Eight species of amphibians are known occur in Sundarban. The Mangrove Forest Sundarban now supports the only population of the Estuarine or salt water Crocodile in Bangladesh.
Entry Permission;
Before entry to Permission has to be taken from Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) Khulna, It does require by DFO for tourist security & there own record.
Things to Do;
In advance it would be better if tourist can take Cholera vaccine. Anti-malaria, anti-diarrhoeal, insect repellent cream, drinking water, green coconut, medical kit, light tropical dress, thick rubber soled boots etc are to be carried with the tourist. It will be great full choice if can be take an experienced guide to make the trip successful.

Hiron Point (Nilkamal) for tiger, deer, monkey, crocodiles, birds and natural beauty.
Katka for deer, tiger, crocodiles, varieties of birds and monkey, morning and evening symphony of wild fowls, huge area of green meadow running from Katka to Kachikhali (Tiger Point) provides opportunities for wild tracking.
Tin Kona Island: This land famous for tiger and deer.
Dublar Char Island: This land famous for fishermen. It is a beautiful island where herds of spotted deer are often seen to graze.
