Check out the festivals around the world in November 2013, from music festivals and huge funfairs to food, wine and entertainment.
2-3rd November: If food and wine is your thing, head to the Gee long wineries in Victoria, Australia for their Toast to the Coast event. More than 25 wineries showcase their wines, celebrating with food, drinks, entertainment and music.
3rd November: Diwali known as the ‘Festival of Lights’ is held in India each year. It is a 5 (five) day Hindu festivals around and official holiday. It involves lighting clay lamps to signify good triumphing over evil.
8th Nov – 8th December: Hamburger Dom, Hamurg Germany. This is a huge funfair held in Hamburg. There are 3 festivals in total, in winter, spring and summer. It’s the longest fair to be held in Germany and attracts around 10million visitors a year.
11th November: If you love music events, head to Cream fields in Santiago, Chile. This year DJ’s include Underworld, Steve Angello, Luciano, Above & Beyond, Sven Vath and lots more.
11th – 17th November: Alaska Bald Eagle festivals around, celebrating the largest gathering of bald eagles in Alaska. 3-4000 eagles can be seen feeding on salmon in the preserve.
21st-23rd November: Ficksburg Cherry festivals around. Visit the Cherry capital of the world, in South Africa for their cherry festival each year. The festival includes cherry tours, live music, half marathon, equestrian events, food and wine and so much more. It’s also usually hosted by a local celeb!
28th Nov – 1st December: festivals around of Roses in New Zealand. This is one of NZ’s best garden events and is held to welcome the beginning of summer and bloom of roses. It combines garden displays, rose themed tours, floral creations, kids activities, music and theater.
