Dhanmondi 32 no roads are too famous in Dhaka city as because Bangabandhu memorial museum is situated here. This is the house of the Father of the Nation of Bangladesh Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. This is a three- stored building and was known as Bangabandhu Bhaban. Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was a charismatic leader who organized dissent and rebellion against the British in India. Bangabandhu was assassinated with his beloved family members by a section of misleading armed forces personnel on 15 August 1975.
This building turned in to a museum in year 1997. Its open 10am to 6pm from Thursday to Tuesday, and Wednesday closed.
It contains rare collection of personal things and photographs of his lifetime. In 1971 it was truly freedom fight/liberation war between Bangali student’s teacher, soldiers, farmers, whole Bangali nation against the then Pakistan army.
